Dear MEI Families,
MEI will post a decision on whether our schools will be open at 5am on Wednesday morning. We will not be running our busses at all on Wednesday.
The early bussing decision is based on the projected safety of riders who will have to wait next to unplowed sidewalks and cross over high mounds of snow to board our busses. Further, because some streets are plowed to single lane traffic only, our busses will not be able to safely make turns.
I’ve highlighted our process below for making these decisions and would like to thank you for your patience, prayers, and support.

School Closure Decision Making Processes include:
– assessment of sidewalks & stairways
– assessment of parking lots
– assessment of bus routes (staff driving the routes)
– assessment of general driving conditions
– assessment of weather, current & projections
– consultation with neighbouring schools & districts
– consultation with principals
– prayer…..
